Equitable Collaboration

LOADS works collaboratively with changemakers in diverse fields – from biodynamic agriculture and regenerative shepherding to small-scale heritage yarn production. Bringing their transformative work together, LOADS forms a net-positive textile system that incentivizes and supports craft preservation and ecosystem conservation.

Ecological Sensitivity

Transparent partnerships with shepherds and Demeter-certified farmers guarantee exceptional quality, natural fibres and plant-based colours, cultivated on a gentle scale in reciprocal, rather than extractive, relationships with the land.  The resulting biodynamic mono-fabrics for LOADS Collection are 100% traceable and biodegradable.

Expert Craftsmanship

An extension of Studio Claudy Jongstra in Friesland, The Netherlands, LOADS draws on 30 years of plant-based pigment research and textile fabrication expertise for the creation of each hand-crafted piece in LOADS Collection. Through workshops and masterclasses, LOADS also extends craft education and advocacy beyond the atelier.

Artist-activist Claudy Jongstra brings her artistic vision and holistic textile expertise to LOADS – a vibrant creative hub at the center of a net-positive textile collective – initiated in collaboration with her son, Jesk Jongstra.

LOADS welcomes collaboration, developing special collections for interiors and creative educational programming for diverse institutions. Collaborations include LOADS Collection for Chef Dan Barber's Blue Hill at Stone Barns restaurant in New York City and Bankside Hotel in London, and educational programming for Polimoda in Florence, Central Saint Martins in London, and IAAC Valldaura Labs in Barcelona.
