LOADS Ready to Wear

This sweater is made from the Spanish Merino wool from Dehesa la Rinconada, where the ancient merino sheep walk paths shaped in the landscape by centuries of shepherds with their  flocks. The sweater  has an elegant v-neckline, where the characteristic LOADS rough edges provide playful detailing. The LOADS rough seams mark the arms of the sweater. In the carefully crafted knit a subtle pattern is visible.

This sweater is made from locally sourced, ecologically raised wool, LOADS Collection endeavors to offer an embodied experience through its garments, with a focus on indigenous, Drenthe Heath Sheep and Spanish Merino wool. 

Our partner Maria Pia Sanchez carries on her family’s generational dedication to land conservation and the preservation of endangered Spanish Merino heritage sheep on her ranch; Dehesa la Rinconada. There, her transhumant and ecological flock graze along historic seasonal migration paths forged by this breed over centuries across the countryside of Mérida Extremadura, revitalizing the pastoral lifestyle. The sheep’s resilient and net-positive wool is a testament to ennoble the value of raising ecological wool.
